Ultrasound
Ultrasound imaging, also called a “sonogram”, is a test using reflected sound waves to produce a picture of organs and other structures within the human body. It is a safe and noninvasive way to image many internal structures. Most examinations take approximately 30 minutes to complete. Procedures offered include:
ABDOMEN PATIENT PREPARATION: Nothing to eat or drink 6-8 hours prior to test. (NO GUM) Medications may be taken with small sips of water.

PELVIS PATIENT PREPARATION: Drink 32 ounces of water one hour BEFORE test. Do NOT urinate. Your bladder must be very full for the exam.
